Blindfolded TPR (Total Physical Response)

Preparation: Write several actions on individual cards. These should be actions that one student can direct another student to do: write your name on the board, open the door, put your book in your backpack. Prepare any necessary items (blindfolds, books, rods, etc.)

Procedure: The students work in pairs. One member of each pair is blindfolded. The other member is given one of the tasks. He must guide his partner in doing the task. The blindfolded partner should not be told what the final goal of the task is, just the steps in doing it. (For example, instead of saying, "Go and open the door," the student would say, "stand up, walk toward the front of the room, stop, now turn right...").
